Railways
We provide designs to specialist infrastructure suppliers who fabricate products for the rail corridor including OHW structures, signaling components, precast stormwater and signaling pits, platform structures and various other rail components.
Designs must comply with Australian Standards, ARTC and NSW Transport specifications. The high loadings in the rail corridor require extensive use of finite element analysis to ensure designs are adequate.
Seismic
With experience in New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region, we can provide seismic risk analysis and design to projects.
As well, we have experience with seismic remediation works, and have carried out post-disaster buildings assessments in Nepal and Myanmar after major earthquakes in these regions.
Finite Element Analysis
Whether it is checking the stresses and deflection of complicated slabs or frames, assessing vibrations for seismic or wind loads, or looking at the impact of transient
loads such as vehicles on structures, finite element analysis provides a valuable tool in the design and analysis.
We have used the Australian developed Strand7 software for a number of years in a wide range of projects. Strand7 is a powerful general purpose FEA system for structural analysis and heat transfer and has been used for analysis applications in mechanical, civil, structural, aeronautical, mining, marine, transportation and biomechanical engineering.
Software Development
We have developed structural analysis software for a number of companies. This has included tilt-up panel analysis and design software, as well as lateral pile analysis software.
